Incumbent computational modeling tools did neither provide good prediction of thin section fill nor the ability to accurately model centrifugal and other pressure assisted casting processes. We are currently using STAR‐Cast with good success as an excellent misrun predictor and for observing good correlation between model and experiment with pressure-assisted casting using a range of variables.
